Life is good.
Jamie and I went up to Bagby Hot Spings with a few friends last Friday night. It was a long awaited, much needed trip. We made it to the springs around 11pm or 12am and shortly after we were all able to get the big public tub to ourselves. Bagby has 6 private soaking rooms with large carved out 2 person cedar log tubs, a public area with 4 more of those logs and a large 8 person round tub. We talked, laughed, drank and soaked under candlelight until about 4am. We then were getting ready to leave when it started snowing. It was beautiful. We then headed back to the parking lot along a trail that follows a rushing river. With only one flashlight, we had a peaceful hike in and out with the sound of rushing water and raindrops. We had taken the rear seats out of our minivans and had air mattresses laid down. When we awoke around 11am we had breakfast and drove to Jackson Hot Springs... pictured above (my bros Dustin and Josh and our wives). The springs are across the river and the underground creek runs underneath the river and there are many under water springs. People have made pools where the hot water comes in and when it gets too hot (which is often) you move a couple rocks and allow more ice cold river water in. We then went to my house for a game of Hold Em'.
So that was a great start to a great week. I received very exciting news on the workfront. I love Yahoo!. My family has had many fortunate turns, recently. We have enjoyed good karma. I am maintaining my dedication and professionalism to my employer, as they treat me with respect as an adult, I will treat them the same. Which is much more than I can say for my previous employer. Did I mention that I love Yahoo!?
This weekend we are going my bros Josh's house to play couples Texas Hold Em'. The kids are all the same age and will play games while we chill and play cards.
Thanksgiving we are all getting together at my grandmas... my bros and our wives, and a couple of homies from work are going to join us for a feast, football and beer. Here here.
My family and I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Life is good.
